Introduction

Zhejiang Normal University is one of the key provincial universities, it specializes in teacher education with multiple branches of learning. The university consists of 18 colleges covering 61 undergraduate programs with an enrollment of over 24,900 undergraduates, 4,300 graduates. Among the total staff of 2,400, there are 1,300 full-time teachers, including 260 full professors and 640 associate professors. In recent years, ties of academic exchange and cooperation have been set up  
between this university and 104 foreign universities and institutes in about 40 countries. There are about 35 long term or short-term foreign teachers and experts working on the campus every year.
Location
The main campus of Zhejiang Normal University is situated in the northern suburbs of Jinhua City in central Zhejiang Province. Jinhua, with a population of 430,000, is one of the four major cities in the province. It is an important communication hub, with highways and railways linking to all parts of the province as well as to the other parts of the country. Yiwu International Commodity City is located in a county of the city with half an hour’s drive from the campus.
Campus Life
Zhejiang Normal University covers an area of over 230 hectares. The campus, cloaked with green everywhere, is an ideal place for living, study and work. Supermarkets are handy within or around the campus. Big supermarkets, such as Wal-Mart and Hymart, are located at the north downtown about 2 kilometers from the campus.
